Velo Vogue: A bicycle fashion show

Velo Vogue Fashion Show 2013

The Ottawa Velo Vogue bicycle fashion show is back in its second year bringing you the latest in cycling fashion for both men and women. This is not your typical fashion show with spandex. The show will highlight the latest trends in clothing, accessories, and bikes (vintage and new) from local and international designers:
Saturday, June 1st
7:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.
Kichesippi Brewery, 866 Campbell Ave. (off of Carling Ave.)
Admission: $10 in advance at velovogue.eventbrite.ca or at the door
Proceeds from the event will go to Cycle Salvation; an organization that provides training and employment in the field of bike mechanics to people who are economically disadvantaged. For more information, please visit: http://cyclesalvation.org/

I will be donating a mask for the silent auction.  Here's a sneak peek at some of the elements scrubbed up and ready to assemble.  I'll post a photo of the completed work tomorrow.

Hope to see you there!!!

Garden Sculpture Show at Skelly Gallery May 26th until October 31

I just took down my show at the Urban Pear on the weekend and sent off two of my masks,  Longhorn and Appearing Knightly with my artist friend Nancy Green to the Skelly Gallery for the upcoming Garden Sulpture Show in aid of the Canadian Mental Health Association.  I'm a big fan of outdoor art and am really looking forward to visiting Skelly, and checking out the other artists work.
